BagpipesSS 1.21

BagpipesSS is a user-friendly application that facilitates the simulation of trumpet playing with a single finger. Unlike traditional wind instruments, it does not require extensive lung capacity; instead, sound is produced by simply touching the interior side of the white dotted line. This design allows for immediate engagement with the instrument, enabling users to enjoy its sounds anytime and anywhere.

An additional volume slider has been integrated at the bottom center of the interface to address an issue where fade-out functionality was non-responsive during staccato note playback when using the stop button. To effectively fade out audio, users should ensure to tap the stop button after adjusting the volume.

The new recording feature now captures ambient sounds, offering versatile applications such as recording vocals or creating voice memos. Recorded files can be shared via email, with file size limitations dependent on the user's device. For example, a 10-second recording typically amounts to approximately 450 kB. Users are advised to consult their cellular service providers for specific attachment size constraints. Support for iTunes file sharing is also available (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4094?viewlocale=en_US).

An option has been added to facilitate playback of recorded audio alongside other music applications by pressing the button on the right side of the record control (note that this disables recording). For instance, users can play along with songs from their preferred music app.

Furthermore, recording now permits selection of audio file formats. To optimize for email transmission, selecting "22kHz / 8 bit" reduces file size effectively.
